The European university of Lefke(EUL) is located in the northern part of Cyprus Nicosia district town of lefke and was founded by the Cyprus science foundation in  year1989 but was officially commissioned in the year 1990. Today’s article will focus on how to study in European University of Lefke ranking, tuition fees, requirements etc.

EUL is well properly equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and qualified lecturers which makes it stand side by side with any first class university in the world.

European University of Lefke offers a wide range of up to 63 study programmes of which includes seven(7) Associates , thirty-eight(38)undergraduates and eighteen(18) postgraduate programmes.

University Ranking

In a ranking made by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the university was ranked second in terms of student placement according to the results of the undergraduates’ placement, examination of student selection and placement centers.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements;

For admission into the undergraduate program, applicants must meet the following requirements;

  • Applicant must have completed a 12 year of secondary education or
  • Applicant should be at the final stage of secondary school or equivalent certificate
  • English Language is required for direct admission into the degree programmes.

Required documents are:

  • A completed EUL Undergraduate Application Form
  • A photocopy of International Passport, ID Card or Birth Certificate
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate/Diploma or secondary school completion certificate(s) (copies)
  • Certified copies of English translation of all qualifications
  • Documentation of English proficiency

For transfer students (undergraduates)

Admission for transfer students is also available for students with:

  • Applicants are expected to send their transcripts and and the course description from the previous school to be viewed by the university
  • English language is also required

Required Documents for Undergraduate Degree Applicants(TRANSFER) are:

  • A completed EUL online Undergraduate Application Form
  • A scanned copy of International Passport, ID Card or Birth Certificate
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate/Diploma or secondary school completion certificate(s) (copies)
  • Transcripts
  • Certified copies of English translation of all qualifications
  • Documentation of English proficiency

Master’s Admission;

English language requirements;

If you are applying to study a program taught in English language, you should show proof that you can speak and write English if you are not from an English speaking country. This can be done by submitting TOEFL or IELTS test scores. Please note that, students who scored minimum 6.0 from the IELTS examination within the last two years, or an equivalent score from other international English language proficiency examinations and Students who have other international certificates to prove their English language level will be exempted from the EUL EPS programme.

  • Official University Transcripts & Course Descriptions of all university-level courses taken
  • Attested photocopies of Diploma/Degree Certificates received from a University or equivalent institution
  • Certified copies of English translation of all qualifications
  • Documentation of English proficiency
  • A completed Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Ph.D requirements;

Same English requirements as with the master’s students is also needed for the Ph.D candidates

These documents are usually needed for PhD Applications:

  • A completed EUL online Postgraduate Application Form
  • A scanned copy of your Passport, ID Card or Birth Certificate
  • Official University Transcripts & Course Descriptions of all university-level courses you have taken
  • Attested copies of Diploma/Degree Certificates received from a University or equivalent institution
  • Certified copies of English translation of all qualifications
  • Documentation of English language proficiency, like Toefl or Ielts
  • A completed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
